Installing
#1 - Unzip and save the extracted folder somewhere you can find it.
#2 - Use your FTP client (FileZilla?) to upload the folder to your /wp-content/plugins/ directory on your WordPress blog.
#3 - Login to your WordPress admin page and activate.
Upgrading
#1 - First BACK UP YOUR WORDPRESS DATABASE! We won't take any responsibility for your data, you have to look after it yourself.
#2 - Deactivate the existing version of the plugin.
#3 - Use your FTP client to delete the existing plugin.
#4 - Unzip the new version and save the extracted folder somewhere you can find it.
#5 - Use your FTP client to upload the newly extracted folder to your /wp-content/plugins/ directory on your WordPress blog.
#6 - Reactivate the plugin.
Redirect Buddy Plugin
The Redirect Buddy Plugin for WordPress enables you to redirect visitors to your WordPress blog based on the number of days since their first visit.
It was designed to answer the needs of admins who want to send their first time visitors to an orientation page with videos explaining how the site works, or even to a special offer page.
You can set multiple pages to redirect your visitors on different days. This enables you to send them to special offers, or bonus pages for regular visitors, or whatever reward or other scheme you come up with.
The only limit is your imagination.
Usage
The first thing you should do is go to the "Redirect Buddy" page in your admin panel.
Adding URLs
The first thing you'll want to do is add your first URL that you want your new visitor to be redirected to.
Simply enter your redirect URL and the number of days since the visitor's initial visit to your website before it should trigger and redirect your visitor.
When you've added one, click "Save" and then "Back To Lists".
• NOTE: The redirect for each entry is for ONE OCCURRENCE ONLY. When a visitor is finally redirected to your chosen URL, a cookie is placed in their browser cache for that site to indicate that the visitor has visited the site. No further redirects can occur for that site, unless the visitor's cookies (all cookies, or cookies only for that site) are cleared. So altering number of days for an existing URL will have no affect if the visitor has previously visited that site.
You can add several more redirects based on whatever schedule you think is appropriate for your site.
